Cara Kerja Globe Valve berfungsi untuk mengatur aliran fluida (cairan atau gas) dalam pipa dengan cara mengubah posisi dari disk (penutup) yang ada di dalam katup. Berikut adalah langkah-langkah cara kerja globe valve: Posisi Katup Tertutup: Ketika katup dalam keadaan tertutup, disk (penutup) globe valve menutup rapat saluran aliran di dalam katup. Dalam kondisi ini, aliran fluida sepenuhnya terhenti. Pembukaan Katup: Saat katup dibuka, disk akan bergerak menjauh dari saluran aliran. Gerakan ini biasanya dilakukan dengan memutar handwheel atau menggunakan aktuator otomatis yang ada di katup. Karena desain globe valve yang memiliki saluran berliku, disk akan bergerak secara vertikal (naik-turun) untuk membuka atau menutup aliran fluida. Pengaturan Aliran: Dengan cara mengatur seberapa jauh disk bergerak dari saluran, globe valve dapat mengontrol besar kecilnya aliran fluida. Semakin jauh disk terbuka, semakin banyak fluida yang bisa mengalir. Sebaliknya, jika disk diturunkan mendekati saluran, aliran akan terhambat atau bahkan dihentikan sepenuhnya. Fungsi Pengaturan Aliran yang Presisi: Karena bentuk saluran yang berliku dan gerakan disk yang vertikal, globe valve dapat mengatur aliran fluida dengan lebih presisi dibandingkan katup jenis lain (seperti gate valve). Hal ini membuat globe valve ideal digunakan di aplikasi yang memerlukan pengaturan aliran yang lebih akurat, seperti dalam sistem pengolahan air, kontrol suhu, atau distribusi gas.
